Gathering of Elementary Grade Four Cellists of Catalonia at El Vendrell On Saturday, April 12th, nineteen cello students of elementary grade four from across Catalonia met at El Vendrell in order to visit the town where Pau Casals was born and to share and exchange knowledge and experiences.

In the morning the students attended study classes and classes on works at the Municipal Music School of El Vendrell. In the afternoon they visited the Pau Casals Museum and saw a film of a master class held by Pau Casals in 1962 at the University of California, Berkeley. A group class and a sample concert were held at the Pau Casals Auditorium to round off the day.

This gathering also enabled cello teachers from all over Catalonia to meet and discuss the current state of cello studies in our country.
